Negative Erfahrung: We are currently looking for a lawyer to take legal action against this "school". I strongly advise people to stay away and don't lose your money too!

Negative Erfahrung: Stay away! They will not provide a decent service, ignore all your requests and take your money. All their good reviews are from 7 years ago, if you check the recent ones are all really bad. Look for the Sayhey school if you are looking for a serious school.

Negative Erfahrung: I paid for a C1 online course with TELC exam preparation. I didn't like their teaching method and the topics covered were B1/B2 level. I immediately asked if a refund or alternative was possible, but I was treated very disrespectfully, with the phone being slammed down on me and responses such as, ‘If you call me back, I'll block you.’ A school that does not respect its customers and is unprofessional. I sent emails and the reply arrived after more than a week. I would not recommend it to anyone

Negative Erfahrung: **Terrible language school. Avoid.** Short version: Terribly run, horrible outdated and what I consider to be borderline racist "learning" material, crowded rooms, etc. I'd suggest Verbum Novum instead, it's better in every way. That, or simply learn using ChatGPT, which can create entire courses for you. Long version: I’m honestly shocked by the positive reviews, because this was the worst language course I’ve ever taken (for any language, anywhere in the world), and everyone else I spoke to felt similar. I accidentally booked two consecutive courses here after confusing it with a different school I attended in the past (Verbum Novum, which is vastly better in every way, I suggest you go there instead). Students are forced to buy the school’s materials, which are outdated, poorly printed, full of mistakes, and riddled with borderline racist and stereotype based content. The books make broad statements about various nationalities or simply "Africans", women, etc., which range from borderline to offensive, especially given that some of the books seem to be printed as "recently" as 2014. Even the teachers openly apologized for the materials and repeatedly told us to ignore large sections because the language was outdated or wrong, and often gave their own material. We had constant teacher turnover, which only added to the chaos (two teachers swapping, plus multiple teachers they were interviewing, and decided to used our class as guinea pigs. Classes were overcrowded, held in a tiny unheated room with nonstop street noise. The staff were rude, dismissive, and clearly unhappy, which made the whole experience miserable. I dreaded going to class. Despite the awful quality, the management refused to issue a refund for the unused portion of my first course or even for the second course which hadn't even started. Not wanting to walk away from a decent chunk of money, I eventually attempted the second course, but after three classes, it was obvious the second course was a complete waste of time (somehow worse than the first), so I simply stopped going and walked away from the hundreds I wasted on the course. Instead, I created a custom German Language GPT on ChatGPT (free or get the plus version for $20 a month) and learned more in a few weeks than I did in the entirety of my time at Evolanguage. After 3 weeks with Chat GPT I took and passed my B1 exam with ease (over 90%). Save your money, time, and sanity. This school doesn’t care about its students, or even about education, it cares about squeezing as much money out of each course/teacher as possible. The fact that I clearly voiced my concerns, got nothing from the course, found the printed material worthless, and never agreed to be used as a "guinea pig", yet they refused to refund the unused course, says all you need to know about the people running the place. I included a few random pictures of the material, so you can see the "quality" of the prints, but trust me, the books are terrible. Any decent school would use commercially produced and peer reviewed material, not this outdated slop. Best of luck learning German! *Update: As mentioned by another negative review, the school also attempted to have my honest review removed, and I had to appeal the removal and have it reinstated. Which I see as further proof of the dishonest and predatory way in which the school operates.
